General conditions - Data Protection

Citizen Support has been developed to allow any citizen to submit a query or raise a complaint through an online portal to the Government of Mauritius. The citizen can also check the status of submitted query or complaint on Citizen Support as the complaint is being dealt with by the respective governing bodies. The portal provides a mediating environment between the citizen and the various governing institutions and bodies. All services of the portal are free of charge, excl. those, in case of which the fee has been established separately or determined by a legal act.

Citizen Support must not be used in case of emergencies. Should an emergency occur, you may wish to contact emergency services accordingly.

In dealing with a citizen’s query or complaint, additional supporting material may be requested through the online Citizen Support portal by the relevant governing institutions or bodies. As such, the governing institutions or bodies may contact the citizen via email or telephone. Once a query or complaint is closed, the citizen will be notified accordingly through the online portal.

These terms and conditions for this online portal government service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Mauritius. Should any dispute arise under the said terms and conditions of use and service, parties will endeavour to reach a settlement and in default, it will be dealt with by a Court of law in Mauritius.
